Institute for Arts Therapy & Education (IATE): I have provided clinical supervision for arts based counsellors and psychotherapists.
Terapia: I have provided clinical supervision for child counsellors and psychotherapists in training.
ASART: I have been an Associate member of ASART adoption counselling services for over 5 years, providing psychotherapy, adoption consultation, training, life story work and facilitation of therapeutic contact for fostered or adopted children.
Adoptionplus: I was part of the therapy team at Adoptionplus in Milton Keynes and now contribute towards their training programme.
Family Futures: I worked with Family Futures for over 9 years and was part of the therapeutic team, the court Assessment team, a clinical consultant for Social Work teams, the Family Futures training team and was a clinical supervisor
I was a Foster Carer for over 5 years with Richmond Foster Care services and as an independent Foster Carer.
Areas of Specialism: Over the years, I have developed a specific interest in attachment focussed therapy, informed by Dan Hughes DDP. I also have over 15 years of experience working with trauma informed by Levine's Somatic Experience and neuro-scientific developments within psychotherapy. A current area of specific interest is related to working with parents and foster carers and enhancing a reflective and mentalization based approach to parenting.
I have extensive training in Theraplay and therapeutic play and I have developed an integrated model of play for carers and parents that is informed by attachment, child developmental theory, Hughes DDP and relational play.
